Une part essentielle de sa vie s’est construite autour de l’écriture, des rencontres, de la passion de transmettre, des voyages, des façons les plus subtiles d’aller « vers les confins ».
Son œuvre, ce sont les livres qu’il a écrits. Mais aussi les textes qu’il a essaimés : les articles qu’il a rédigés, les lettres qu’il a envoyées, les notes qu’il a rassemblées ou laissées éparses. David a beaucoup écrit (et enregistré, photographié…). Il y a là un legs à rassembler, entretenir, faire connaître.
Nous parents, proches, amis, lecteurs de David souhaiterions garder et enrichir sa mémoire. D’abord en rassemblant et éditant les textes essentiels qu’il a laissés. Et en recueillant aussi des témoignages (écrits, enregistrés…) de ceux qui l’ont lu ou partagé quelque chose de sa présence ou de son écoute.
Dans un premier temps, nous envisageons que s’organise un petit groupe qui fixe les enjeux et les moyens de ce travail de mémoire autour des textes et de la personne de David. Merci de nous dire si vous accepteriez d’être partie prenante de ce groupe. Il faudra voir comment s’en organise le travail, éventuellement en ayant recours à la structure d’une association régie par la loi de 1901.
